The film is slated for release December 15.

Following a live panel in Orlando, the first trailer for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" was released in April.

Director Rian Johnson unveiled that video at the "Star Wars Celebration" fan event in Orlando, Florida, before he, producer Kathleen Kennedy and the cast chatted for an hour with host Josh Gadd.

Tghat trailer begins where "The Force Awakens" left off, with Rey and Luke Skywalker together on the oceanic planet Ahch-To.

The two are seen presumably using the force, with Skywalker telling Rey "breathe."

"What do you see?" he asks.

"Light, darkness, and violence," Rey responds.

An epic action sequence follows with Fin and other characters in battle sequences.

The footage offered few clues but notably featured Mark Hamill's Skywalker intoning from a dark cave that "it's time for the Jedi to end."

Earlier, star Daisy Ridley, who stars as Rey, said part of the story in "The Last Jedi" is that it can be difficult to "meet your heroes." '

'The Force Awakens" left off with Rey and Skywalker meeting on a remote island.
